Really good and aestheticly pleasing though a bit grindy >Digimon STORY cyber sleuth/HM Great game but nothing special though I loved the characters interactions and ofcours the journey. Overall really soulfull and shows what Digimon has that pokemon can't offer. The drunk skullgreymon dialog and tsundere gatomon were pretty funny. The Digimons like all other games have unique personalities. All Digimons have unique animations and sounds, running animation and even interact with other Digimons around you when you're standing still. The infinity mt and the antibody x substory are great. Decode is so much better and has more than double the content. I still can't believe the psp version was a real game they released. Great game though the training time and loading between areas can be tiresome but it's really charming. >The only Adventure character that even comes close to Team Lirurun is Mimi. The most active threads are always the episodes where gulus appears, because atleast something interesting happens. If this was truly episodic show it wouldn't dangle plot threads every few episodes to keep people interested. The only Adventure character that even comes close to Team Lirurun is Mimi. >And you are not going to tell me that the ghost game characters are more interesting than the adventures outside of maybe sora. I would love to see a Digimon SoL series or a Seraphim Call-style anthology that follows a different tamer/partner pair every episode, but I can only imagine the schizo meltdowns we'd see from autists being denied their shonenshit. It's an episodic show, but somehow almost a full calendar year into the series, people are still surprised and angry every week that it's an episodic show. Ghost Game is not trying to be Adventure, Tamers or Savers. >Adventures was well into the dark masters arc, tamers was well into the D-reaper arc and savers was well into the RK arc. I won't let gt or super ruin my enjoyment of og dragonball, I won't let ao ruin my enjoyment of og eureka seven and I won't ket everything adventure related that came after our war game ruin my enjoyment of og adventure.Īnd like I said Ghost game is not terrible, but it's not better tamers, og adventures or savers Which why I said it's a solid number 4 when ranking it against the other shows.Īnd about adventures terrible sequels. Doesn't help that modern Adventure is a fucking nightmare as bad as late Xros Wars at best. I think the issue is that most Digimon shows implode themselves with full retard writing and Ghost Game being weird horror anthology that hasn't shat the bad makes people like it more. Not saying it's terrible, but people are seriously overrating it, because it is the only digimon anime that isn't hot garbage in nearly 20 years. It's the 4th best series, but that is because the bar is that low. The only thing it has over a lot of the other series is that that the partners aren't just glorified accessorries which I will admit is bretty gud. Meanwhile ghost game is still teasing the same plot threads from 30 episodes ago.Īnd you are not going to tell me that the ghost game characters are more interesting than the adventures outside of maybe sora. I have watched gaogaigar and other slowburn shows, but this is just ridiculous.Īdventures was well into the dark masters arc, tamers was well into the D-reaper arc and savers was well into the RK arc. I liked 2 and 3 too, but they have too many faults and feel more "okay."Īnd I don't know why people put ghost game over shit like adventures abd tamers when it has been meandering for 40+ episodes. Also has a fan remake going on that adds more Digimon. Not balanced, but it doesn't really matter. HM is clearly superior and less dialogue to sift through, but CS has a better cast and a slightly more interesting MC. >Cyber Sleuth/HMįine if you go into it the idea that there will be a ton of dialogue. Visuals are simplistic but charming and as long as you can deal with the grind, you can get a pretty strong version of your bro regardless of base stats. A little more complex than the Cyber Sleuth games though and plenty of Digimon, some of which like the Armor digivolutions that don't get a lot of attention. >Dawn/Duskįun games, albeit quite grindy. Story and post game story are simple but have interesting decks to match up against. >Digital Card Battleįun ass game with lots of ways to deck build, all the types of decks and how they play end up being pretty interesting. Also Decode and Next Order are more solid than you'd think for sequels, but the original still has the most charm. Otherwise playthroughs of Agumon and Gabumon can still be fantastic even after many times, whether you use the online calculator to determine what you're getting or just the fun of dealing whatever the game tossed at you. Extremely replayable, especially if you go and change your rookie.
